Only an Obsession with Hell?
Some would suppose that the subject of Conditional Immortality is only an obsession with whether or not torment is endless. But that's not the case... it's about so much more:
The character of God
The accuracy of the Bible
The wording of Scripture
The requirements of the law
The warnings of the prophets
The message of Jesus
The writings of the apostles
The wages of sin
The gift of eternal life
The definition of death
The meaning of life
The description of man
The identity of soul
The nature of the atonement
The heart of the gospel
The reason for the cross
The victory of Christ's resurrection
The purpose of the future resurrection
The coming of the Lord
The gathering of the believers
The judgment of the wicked
The essence of eternity
The title of the book is "Wholly Smoke: The Myth of Endless Torment," so endless torment is a focus, but if you search the chapters I've shared, and also my posts, and comments, you will see that I talk abundantly about all of the topics listed above.
Why would some charge that I'm only obsessed with endless torment? Could it be because that is the one thing they are obsessed with defending?
